Our History

Custom Built Pneumatics was founded In 1980 by Steve Gesche. His team specialized in developing pneumatic (air) systems designed to gently and efficiently move grain and other various materials from point A to point B.

Over the years seed and grain movement became the focus for their business. They designed various vacuum systems to help move grain into bins, move grain out of bins, and to help pick up grain spills.

In 2023, Eric Johnson purchased Custom Built Pneumatics and moved manufacturing to Aplington, Iowa. As an 18 year customer of the business he is excited to continue the legacy Steve started so many years ago.

The Iowa based CB Pneumatics team will specialize in manufacturing PTO driven, self-powered pull type and truck mounted grain vac systems. We look forward to growing the Custom Built name and building the best pneumatic systems in the US.
